Every journey begins with that first step. In 2003, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) held 12 local fundraising Walks in selected locations across the country as a fund and awareness raising pilot project. After these Walks raised over $1.1 million, the pilot was declared a tremendous success and NAMI embarked on a aggressive plan to add walks to sites throughout the country. This year, it is anticipated that approximately seventy thousand concerned citizens in 69 communities across the nation will join NAMI's Campaign for the Mind of America and walk together to raise money and awareness about our country's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness.

In 2004, Tray helped NAMI make this goal of adding sites a reality as it brought the Walk program online for all ordering and proofing of print collateral. As the program has grown from a few local sites to almost 70 sites nationwide, it would have become not only a time consuming process to proof and place orders, but also a difficult task in monitoring the print quality and design layout for the numerous sites. Tray was there to custom build an online ordering system tailor made to fit NAMI's needs. For four years, the Walk sites have been able to enter, review proofs and place all orders online 24 hours a day. This service has provided not only an ease of project management, but also a cost savings as Tray is able to process and gang run the orders while maintaining the quality of their brand. Different locations throughout the country all have the distinctive NAMIWALKS brand and quality of their important marketing materials. The site, along with effective online reporting was built for NAMI at no cost. It has continued to be an invaluable part of the Walk Program today.
